Other Business Model Issues — Payments

No in-app payment UI of any kind.

·The /donate route no longer contains any Stripe checkout session, PayPal SDK, or any in-app payment form.
·The only action on the donate page is a single button that opens the external donation website (bsoedu.org) in Safari via window.open().
·The DonateModal component (triggered from any donate button in the app) also only shows an external link — no payment fields, no card inputs, no amount selectors that trigger payment.
·All payment processing (Paystack, Stripe, PayPal) happens exclusively on the external website: https://bsoedu.org/fuel-the-journey-donate-to-the-nigeria-student-ambassador/
·The app does not collect, process, or transmit any payment information.

Minimum Functionality

App provides rich native functionality beyond a web wrapper.

·Journey Updates Feed: Live backend-powered feed (/api/updates) with expandable cards, pull-to-refresh, and offline caching via localStorage.
·Saved Updates: Users can bookmark updates for offline reading — data persists across sessions.
·Journey Quiz: 6-question interactive quiz with scoring, haptic feedback, and results tracking.
·Community Wall: User-generated support messages stored server-side (/api/messages) with real-time submission.
·Notification Bell: Header badge counts unread updates since last visit — persisted in localStorage.
·Offline Banner: Detects connectivity changes and shows/hides a native-style offline indicator.
·Native Share Sheet: Each update card calls navigator.share() to trigger the iOS native share sheet.
·Pull-to-Refresh: Wired into the updates feed using a custom PullToRefresh component.
·Diaspora Hub: Full professional platform with opportunities board, save/star, express interest, resources library, and network directory.
·Progress Tracker: Live journey distance tracker London → Lagos with animated progress.
·NativeBottomNav: 6-tab native-style bottom navigation with haptic feedback.

5.1.2

Data Collection and Storage — Privacy

Cookie/tracking consent banner is fully suppressed inside the native app.

·The CookieBanner component checks for window.Capacitor at mount time.
·If the app is running inside the Capacitor/iOS wrapper, the banner is never shown and no analytics scripts are loaded.
·Analytics (C2 tracking) only initialises on the web version after explicit user consent.
·No tracking, analytics, or third-party data collection occurs in the native iOS app.

Accurate Metadata

App metadata, screenshots, and description accurately reflect the app.

·App Store category updated to Social Networking (not Travel).
·Screenshots captured from Xcode Simulator with iOS status bar visible.
·App description updated to accurately describe all native features: updates feed, quiz, community wall, diaspora hub, journey tracker.
·No misleading claims about app functionality.
